Job Description

Job Title: Food Delivery Boy (Delivery Driver/Ride-Share Driver)Key Responsibilities:Delivery of Food Orders:

Pick up food from assigned restaurants and deliver to customers' locations in a timely manner.
Ensure that the food is safely transported and remains in good condition during transit.

Customer Service:

Interact with customers professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
Address any customer inquiries or issues related to the delivery.

Route Planning and Navigation:

Plan and follow efficient routes to minimize delivery time and fuel consumption.
Use GPS or route planning apps to ensure timely deliveries.

Payment Collection (if required):

Collect payment for orders if the service is not prepaid, and provide receipts.

Timeliness:

Ensure all deliveries are made within the stipulated time frame.
Communicate with customers if there are delays or issues with the order.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving or riding.
Ensure the delivery vehicle (car, bike, etc.) is in good working condition and complies with safety regulations.

Order Management:

Confirm food orders and check that all items are packed correctly before leaving the restaurant.
Ensure that the delivery is made to the correct address.

Maintaining Equipment:

Maintain the vehicle (bike, scooter, or car) in good condition, including fueling, regular checks, and reporting any issues.
Keep the delivery bag clean and hygienic.

Handling Payments and Tips:

Handle cash, mobile payments, or online payment systems, as per company requirements.
Collect tips if offered by customers.

Compliance:

Follow company policies, delivery protocols, and health & safety guidelines.
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor or manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:Basic Requirements:

Must be of legal driving age and hold a valid driver’s license or relevant permit.
For motorcycle/bike delivery, a valid motorcycle license is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Basic knowledge of traffic laws, routes, and locations.
Good communication skills, including the ability to use the company’s mobile app for order management.
Ability to handle money (if cash transactions are involved).

Physical Fitness:

Ability to carry or handle food deliveries, sometimes in high-demand areas.
Ability to work in different weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).

Experience:

Previous experience in delivery or customer service is a plus.
Familiarity with GPS and route planning tools is helpful.
Working Conditions:Flexible working hours, but some companies may require availability during peak hours (lunch/dinner times).
The job involves working outdoors, and drivers may need to deal with traffic, weather conditions, and long hours on the road.
