Job Description
Dispense medicines as per doctor's prescription.
Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
Maintain proper records of medicines issued and received.
Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
Monitor expiry dates and remove expired or damaged medicines.
Store medicines according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Provide medication counseling regarding dosage, administration, and precautions.
Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication requirements.
Maintain narcotic and controlled drug registers as per regulations.
Prepare bills and maintain pharmacy-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations.
Handle emergency medication requirements promptly.
Assist in procurement and stock verification of medicines and consumables.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
