Job Description
We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented business development officer to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales. The business development officer's responsibilities include identifying company products and services that are performing, developing an in-depth knowledge of company offerings, pricing, and policies, and improving existing sales proposals. You should also ensure that the company is able to achieve revenue targets.
To be successful as a business development officer, you should be adept at negotiating business deals and able to make sound decisions that will benefit the company. Ultimately, an exceptional business development officer should have strong business acumen as well as demonstrate excellent management, communication, and analytical skills. Business Development Officer Duties: Build existing and develop new business relationships Create, monitor, and report on key performance metrics to determine effectiveness of sales efforts and anticipate customer needs Secure new business using a variety of methods, such as cold calling, email, trade shows, and referrals Work with sales teams to identify, develop, and articulate new business opportunities Identify and communicate sales opportunities throughout the organization Provide support to sales teams and individuals by preparing reports and presentations Assist with special projects and tasks as requested Business Development Officer Responsibilities: Drive sales activity through business development efforts with companies or individuals Identify opportunities, research their requirements, conduct primary research, present proposals, negotiate deals, and close deals Develop and implement strategic business plan to achieve revenue growth and margin expansion Keep abreast of market trends and competitive activities, maintain current knowledge of international logistics industry Utilize all business tools and systems, including but not limited to CRM, Email and Virtual meetings Maintain accurate and up-to-date personal contact information on prospects, clients, and accounts Work to make business development efforts efficient and cost-effective Work closely with the company’s existing customers to develop long-term relationships Developing and sustaining solid relationships with colleagues and customers. Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning. Analyzing financial data and developing effective strategies to reduce business costs and increase company profits. Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities. Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities. Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
