Summary of Position: The Social Media Specialist will support the Marketing team with research, analysis and designing for social media campaigns within the Company. Amongst the responsibilities, the role will help keep up with online reputation, support the Marketing team online and at live events and track media engagement to identify highly performing ideas. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand. • Collaborate with marketing team members to develop social media marketing campaigns. • Interact with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts and respond to comments and direct messages on social media platforms. • Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy to identify strategic weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements. • Research social media trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities. • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns. • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media platforms. • Create and distribute content such as , infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets. • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability. • Support marketing team at live and online events. • Assist on influencer campaign strategy. • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content and write captions that speak to the company’s target audience. • Help create and edit short-form videos such as Instagram Reels, and current youtube shorts trends. • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement. • Ensure brand message is consistent. Education and Experience Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree in Marketing or Business preferred • At least 2-4 years in a similar marketing role • Experience in creating social media strategies • Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, youtube etc. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to craft engaging content • Organized and able to multitask
