1. Develop and maintain relationships with agents, shipping lines, and customers 2. Rate negotiations with carriers and third parties 3. Maintain quality standards for operational export/import procedures and improve them where necessary  4. Coordinating with purchase department for exports and dispatches 5. Floating freight enquiries to CHAs, Forwarders & Shipping lines. Sharing the requirements to ensure effective sailing along with regular follow-ups 6. Preparing and maintaining all logistics documentation as required 7. Communicate with export-related authorities, when necessary. 8. Assist in any outdoor activities of the export division in terms of logistics such as monitoring the packing/ loading 9. Negotiating and finalizing on freight and its appointment 10. Planning and organizing most feasible schedules for shipments 11. Follow-up and coordinating for operations. 12. Arranging transport if Direct Delivery  13. Arrange for documents related to shipments, approval on the checklist of shipping bill, DG 14.Declaration, Draft preparation & approval on Bill of Landing etc. like BLs, GRs, DGs 15. Initiating & ensuring compliance to the payment process for freight, local charges, CHA services. 16. Liaise with various authorities such as BMC and Indian merchant chambers for certificates 17. Coordinate with shipping lines, export surveyors, customs, and various other related departments 18. Maintain and generate reports from ERP 19. Should provide assistance as and when any additional operations activities arise in the organization
