Job Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the dairy plant, employees, visitors, milk tankers, company assets, machinery, and materials. The role includes monitoring entry and exit points, checking vehicles, maintaining discipline, and preventing theft, unauthorized access, and security breaches within the dairy premises.

Key Responsibilities

Plant & Premises Security

• Monitor and guard the dairy plant premises round-the-clock.
• Conduct regular patrols of production areas, warehouses, utility sections, parking areas, and gates.
• Ensure no unauthorized person enters restricted areas.

Gate & Vehicle Management

• Verify entry and exit of milk tankers, delivery vehicles, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain records of inward and outward movement of vehicles and materials.
• Check gate passes, delivery challans, and material movement documents.
• Monitor loading and unloading activities.

Employee & Visitor Monitoring

• Maintain visitor entry records and issue visitor passes.
• Verify employee attendance and ID cards during entry/exit.
• Ensure discipline and adherence to company security policies.

Asset Protection

• Prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized removal of company property.
• Monitor movement of dairy products, packaging materials, diesel, chemicals, and spare parts.
• Safeguard plant equipment, machinery, and company assets.

Safety & Emergency Handling

• Respond immediately to fire alarms, accidents, emergencies, or suspicious activities.
• Assist during emergency evacuation procedures.
• Coordinate with fire safety teams and local authorities if required.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety and security protocols.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily security logs and incident reports.
• Report unusual incidents, damages, or security concerns to management.
• Keep records of tanker movement, visitors, contractors, and security checks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum  12th Pass
• Prior experience in industrial or plant security preferred
• Experience in dairy, food processing, FMCG, or manufacturing industry is an advantage

Required Skills

• Good observation and vigilance
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
• Ability to handle visitors and workers professionally
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Physically fit for patrolling and shift duties
• Basic understanding of gate documentation and registers

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts including night duty
• Outdoor and indoor monitoring responsibilities
• Standing and patrolling for long durations may be required
