Biomedical Engineer

• Routine care, servicing and upkeep of general and specialized medical equipment/appliances/medical-industrial plants used in the hospital
• Maintenance of purchase, warranty and service contracts and such records of all such equipment.
• Liaise with service providers/ proprietary firms for equipment maintenance.
• Arrange accessories/spares/consumables compatible with the available equipment.
• Up-gradation of old medical equipment
• Resale/scrapping and safe disposal of condemned items
• Purchase of new equipment/items as demanded by various departments from time to time
• Maintenance of store inventory and stocks
• Training staff on ideal use of different equipment
• Ensure regulatory approvals are up to date and safety standards are complied with

Desirable

• Experience of maintaining stock inventories and medical records
• Knowledge of computing management and inventory software
• Knowledge/contacts with available suppliers

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in biomedical engineering from a recognized Institute in India
• Past experience in the requisite discipline will be considered an advantage
