Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry kitchen and drive culinary innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can elevate our dessert offerings while maintaining our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative dessert menus aligned with Aubree's premium brand positioning
- Lead, mentor, and manage the pastry team to ensure consistent excellence
- Oversee recipe development, testing, and standardization across all product lines
- Maintain stringent quality control standards for all pastry production
- Manage inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships for pastry operations
- Collaborate with management on seasonal offerings and new product launches
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in high-end pastry operations with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification in pastry arts
- Expertise in French patisserie techniques and western dessert styles
- Proven track record in menu development and innovation
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Excellent understanding of costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with eggless and vegetarian dessert formulations
- Knowledge of chocolate work and confectionery
- Creative flair with presentation and plating techniques
