Production Engineer

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The role involves optimizing production methods, improving efficiency, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and organize daily production schedules to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Monitor and control production processes, equipment performance, and output quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports on efficiency, output, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of machinery and timely preventive maintenance.
• Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and procurement teams to resolve production issues.
• Assist in new product development (NPD) by developing manufacturing methods and process layouts.
• Train and supervise operators and technicians to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or 5S initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, process control, and quality systems (ISO, 5S, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP systems, and MS Office.
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience with automation and CNC machines (if applicable).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management principles.
