Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic Purchase Manager to manage procurement operations for our premium ingredients and materials. This role requires someone who can balance cost efficiency with uncompromising quality standards while building strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies for all production needs
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize costs without compromising quality
• Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance regularly
• Monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock management systems
• Coordinate with production and operations teams to forecast material requirements
• Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules and prevent stockouts
• Verify quality standards for all incoming materials and ingredients
• Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and identify new supplier opportunities
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for management

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in food & beverage or hospitality industry
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor management expertise
• Understanding of food-grade ingredient specifications and quality parameters
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to forecast and plan inventory
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Excel
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience sourcing premium/imported ingredients (chocolates, butter, specialty flours, etc.)
• Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and food import procedures
• Existing network of suppliers in the bakery/confectionery sector
• Cost analysis and budget management capabilities
