Assistant Store Manager

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising retail associates.

• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to team members.

• Motivate and lead the team to meet and exceed sales and customer service goals.

• Assist in creating and managing staff schedules to ensure optimal floor coverage and manage labor costs.

• Address and resolve staff issues, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Store Operations & Sales

• Support the Store Manager in driving the store's sales and profitability.

• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and bank deposits.

• Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and suggest/implement strategies for improvement.

• Ensure the store maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.

• Collaborate with the Store Manager on planning and executing in-store promotions and marketing campaigns.

Customer Service & Relations

• Model and ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service at all times.

• Promptly and professionally resolve complex customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and repeat business.

Inventory & Loss Prevention

• Assist with monitoring inventory levels, managing stock orders, and processing shipments.

• Conduct regular stock audits and ensure inventory accuracy.

• Implement and enforce loss prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage.
