Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Designer (Industrial Automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical designs using EPLAN (mandatory — if they can’t use it fluently, they’re not suitable).
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, GA drawings, and cable schedules.
• Prepare complete and accurate BOMs with correct part selection (switchgear, field devices, PLC modules, cables, safety components).
• Work closely with the automation team to ensure I/O allocation, load calculations, and panel sizing are correct.
• Participate in power-up, testing, FAT, and commissioning activities.
• Perform quality checks, inspections, and design reviews to catch mistakes early — before they become site issues.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and project teams for execution and delivery.
• Manage multiple projects, track progress, and ensure design packages meet deadlines.
• Provide technical support during installation and troubleshooting.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on proficiency in EPLAN P8 — not “basic”, not “learning”, but actual design experience.
• Solid understanding of industrial automation, control panels, PLC/SCADA architectures, and instrumentation.
• Ability to design for safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Experience with panel wiring standards, cable sizing, protection coordination, and grounding practices.
• Accurate and structured BOM creation.
• Ability to handle power-up, testing, and inspection confidently without supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE in Electrical, EEE, or related field.
• 1–5 years experience in industrial automation design.
