About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical to join our frozen food manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of our mechanised production machinery by addressing electrical breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining the highest safety standards in a fast-paced food processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Breakdown Maintenance: Promptly attend to electrical breakdowns in mechanised frozen food processing, packaging, and refrigeration machines to minimize production downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct scheduled inspections and maintenance of electrical panels, motors, control wiring, sensors, and other electrical equipment. Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Machine Inspection: Regularly check machines for potential electrical faults, loose connections, and wear and tear. Report any abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Accurately create and maintain Job Cards for all maintenance activities. Document the nature of the breakdown, parts replaced, and action taken in basic English.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex electrical issues in high-speed manufacturing lines, conveyors, chillers, and blast freezers.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with company safety standards and food safety regulations.
• Spares Management: Inform the supervisor about required spare parts to maintain an optimal inventory level.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: ITI (Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 4 to 15 years of experience in a manufacturing plant (Food processing experience is an added advantage).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical circuits, 3-phase motors, starters, and VFDs.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and panels.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting sensors, relays, contactors, and basic control systems.
• Language: Must be fluent in Hindi and Kannada to interact with the local and migrant workforce. Basic English is required for documentation (filling job cards).
