Job Description – Pantry Boy/GirlLocation: Chanakya University

Reporting To: Admin Manager / Facility Supervisor

Position OverviewThe Pantry Boy/Girl is responsible for maintaining the pantry area, preparing and serving beverages, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting day-to-day refreshment services for staff, faculty, students, and visitors.

• Key Responsibilities1. Pantry OperationsPrepare and serve tea, coffee, juice, and other beverages as requested by staff, faculty, and visitors.
• Ensure timely service during meetings, training sessions, and university events.
• Refill water bottles, dispensers, and maintain hydration points.
• 2. Cleanliness & HygieneMaintain the pantry area, utensils, and equipment in clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Wash and sanitize cups, plates, cutlery, and serving items after every use.
• Ensure dustbins are emptied and cleaned regularly.
• 3. Inventory ManagementTrack stock levels of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, snacks, disposables, and cleaning supplies.
• Inform the supervisor in advance for replenishment of pantry materials.
• Handle pantry items responsibly to reduce wastage.
• 4. Meeting Room SupportArrange drinking water, tea/coffee service, and light refreshments for meetings.
• Ensure meeting rooms are cleared and cleaned after usage.
• 5. Equipment HandlingOperate pantry appliances such as electric kettles, coffee machines, refrigerator, microwave, etc.
• Report any malfunction or maintenance need immediately to Facilities/Admin team.
• Skills & RequirementsMinimum 10th Standard preferred.
• Previous experience in pantry services, hospitality, or housekeeping is an advantage.
• Good personal hygiene and customer-service attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Polite, punctual, and professional in behaviour.

Working HoursAs per university policy. Weekend/extended hours during events may be required.
