Ocean Pricing / Freight Forwarding (sales)

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Quotations:

• Obtain competitive ocean freight rates from shipping lines and consolidators.
• Prepare and share timely and accurate quotations with sales teams and customers.
• Maintain a database of ocean freight tariffs, surcharges, and contracts.
• Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure best possible rates and services.

Customer Coordination:

• Act as the point of contact for customers regarding shipment pricing, booking, and updates.
• Coordinate with operations, documentation, and sales teams to ensure service delivery.
• Handle customer queries, resolve service issues, and provide proactive updates.
• Support clients with rate validity, transit times, and service options.

Operations Support:

• Ensure smooth handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team.
• Monitor bookings until final execution, addressing any service gaps.
• Coordinate with carriers, co-loaders, and overseas agents for timely updates.

Reporting & Compliance:

• Maintain records of quotations, rate sheets, and customer correspondence.
• Support management in preparing pricing and volume analysis reports.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, service level agreements, and compliance standards.
