As a App Development Lead at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and maintain microservices architecture for scalable applications

• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems

• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and architects

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)

• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability

• Support deployment and release activities

• Mentor Junior Engineers and Guide them in development.

Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it.As a valued member of our team, you will provide work estimates for assigned development work, and guide features, functional objectives, or technologies being built for interested parties. Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 8 - 10 Years as App Development Lead

• Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above)

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, React

• Experience in microservices architecture and REST API development

• Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

• Experience working of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes - Openshift Preferred)

• Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

• Knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT)

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)

• Experience with Observability and Monitoring (Prometheus, Dynatrace, ELK)

• Experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven and/or Gradle.

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Basic understanding of containerization concepts, including Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, with experience using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Awareness of secure API development, including authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience working with messaging and event-driven systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Prior experience working in Banking / BFSI domains, with understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and transaction-driven systems.

• Front-end exposure using React, with understanding of component-based architecture and UI integration with backend services.
