Automotive Electrical/Electronic (EE) System Design Engineer

Volvo is hiring for the role of Automotive Electrical/Electronic (EE) System Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for automotive applications, considering safety, reliability, and performance.
• Integrate functional safety and cybersecurity measures into the EE systems, ensuring protection against cyber threats and compliance with industry and safety standards.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure the integration of EE systems into the overall vehicle architecture.
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate different design options, considering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of the approved concepts for system implementation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to support the development of innovative and secure solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive EE system design.
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols, familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture, and understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Understanding of safety-critical systems, ISO 26262, and other relevant automotive standards.
• Good understanding of the EE system of a vehicle, architectural principles, and strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
