Primary Roles and Responsibilities The individual will have to promote Akshaya Patra’s programmes and objectives through strategic communication by developing rich and compelling content. • Write engaging content for various collateral and platforms • Serve as SPOC for all FR and other stakeholders • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and local units to collect information • Work in tandem with the design team to generate attractive collateral • Provide support in translating and subtitling (as and when needed) • Participate in the formulation of strategies to scale up the impact of communication for Akshaya Patra • Support the development, review, adaptation and editing of other content (based on need and requirement) *Travel - The candidate will have to travel to different locations where Akshaya Patra implements the programme when needed Secondary Roles and Responsibilities • Support the creation of PR and advocacy communication materials and products, such as press releases, quotes, notes, talking points, reports, etc., if needed. Competency: 5+ years of professional writing experience • Excellent strategic/creative/copywriting writing skills • Excellent verbal communication skills • Excellent editing and proofreading skills • Good understanding of branding and design • Demonstrated track record of writing for impact (Diversified portfolio of writing samples required) • Good understanding of the issues relating to child nutrition, child welfare, or social sector in general
