Role: Data Engineer -Power BI Developer

Experience Level: 2+ Years 

Work location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Trivandrum 

Notice Period: 0-15 days

Role & Responsibilities: 

• Perform end-to-end development using Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service), including report/dashboard design and data modeling.

• Create advanced DAX formulas for complex calculations, time intelligence, and financial reporting.

• Utilize Power Query (M Language) for optimized data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources.

• Integrate Power BI with Azure Data Services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.

• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and assist with Power BI Service administration.

• Optimize Power BI report and dashboard performance.

• Apply financial domain knowledge to ensure accurate and relevant reporting.

• Validation of end to end process and development.

• Good to have knowledge of ETL in Azure , Snowflake.

 

 

Skills expectation: 

• Snowflake: Understanding of Snowflake, virtual warehouses, and performance tuning. Strong experience with Snowflake SQL.

• Microsoft Power BI: End-to-end development (Desktop, Service), report/dashboard design, Semantic layers, data modeling, performance optimization.

• DAX: Advanced formula creation for complex calculations, time intelligence, and financial reporting.

• Power Query (M Language): Optimized Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources.

• Azure Data Services: Integration with Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory and Azure data storage.

• Security & Governance: Implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI Service administration.

• Domain Knowledge: Finance / Good to have Sage Intact GL knowledge.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Python: Good to have programming skills in Python for integration with backend.
