Summary:
As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures that support daily maintenance activities and efficient problem resolution. This position requires continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of databases to meet organizational needs, while also preparing for future scalability and security considerations. Collaboration with various teams to align database infrastructure with business objectives is an integral part of the daily routine, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices for database security and backup strategies.
- Coordinate with development and operations teams to optimize database performance and availability.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in MongoDB.
- Experience in database installation, configuration, and upgrading processes.
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Ability to monitor database performance and implement tuning measures.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database maintenance tasks.
- Understanding of data security and compliance requirements related to database management.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in MongoDB.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
