Proven experience in product design and / or experience with machining, fabrication, casting, moulding, metal stamping and assembly. • Proficiency in SolidWorks version 2015 and above. • Proficiency in AutoCAD version 2010 and above. • DFM / DFT and experience in designing for low product cost are preferable. • Experience with established drafting standards (IS/ANSI/ASME Y14.5). • Superior ability to read and interpret sketches. • Solid understanding of engineering specifications, tolerance stack-up and GD&T. • Basic mathematical skills. • Clarity with concepts of 'Strength of Materials'. • Understanding of production floor processes, inspection requirements and routings. • Must be organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimum guidance from other departments. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Experience with the use of PLM and ERP is a plus. • Ability to produce engineering documentation using SolidWorks, Word, Excel, MS Project and Visio Software programs.
