Boeing India Private Limited is looking for a Senior Solution Architect - Java typically from a Java /Angular /NoSQL (Marklogic) background conversant with PLM (Team Center) integrations, data model.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Own and improve current system with new features applying highly scalable, available, and secure backend architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Review Design and Code for new features on the Marklogic/ Angular based application.
• Review, Own and Improve Messaging Queues (MQ) and Kafka for efficient and scalable communication between microservices.
• Review own and Improve Caching strategies (e.g., Redis) to optimize system performance and reduce latency.
• Conduct Gap analysis of current system and introduce changes to enhance design and Architecture,
• Drive AI-based modernization of applications, integrating machine learning models and AI-driven analytics for predictive insights and automation.
• Assess and research the capabilities for COTS PLM Tools, Content Management Tools for the Next Gen model based tool to replace the current system.
• Define the Solution Architecture for the Next Generation tool.
• Define Migration strategy and switch over from current to Next Gen.
• Create Architecture view of new features for current system and also of the Next Generation replacement tool
• Collaborate with business to review domain views and translate to Information / Data Architecture -knowledge on modelling tools and TOGAF approaches.
• Architect and develop distributed systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams in implementing best practices for microservices development and deployment.
• Design and optimize APIs and event-driven architectures to support high-volume transactions.
• Establish best practices for containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration for scalable deployments.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud adoption strategies (AWS), ensuring robust cloud-native architecture.
• Define standards and governance for DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated and secure deployments.
• Perform architecture reviews, performance tuning, and security assessments for backend applications.
• Ensure secure coding practices are followed, implementing secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure API designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Product Management, and Security, to align business and technical objectives.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and users to understand needs and define all aspects of the solution – usability, fit for purpose, integrations and dependencies on other systems, long term strategic vision.
• Influence outcomes and achieve successful delivery as planned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
• 14 + years of experience in backend development and architecture with Java-based technologies.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and Distributed Systems.
• Collaborate with AI experts to build AI business solutions that seamlessly integrate with current functionalities.
• Awareness of PLM tools like Team Center/ 3DX or ability to understand architecture, APIs of such systems in order to drive integrations.
• Research  on COTS tools to understand capabilities, conduct POCS
• Hands-on experience with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native deployment strategies.
• Strong understanding of Event-Driven Architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience in NoSQL and Relational Databases such as Marklogic, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Expertise in performance tuning, caching mechanisms (Redis), and API gateways.
• Hands-on experience in  AWS cloud services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, IAM, and networking components.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and DevOps best practices.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment, leading technical discussions and mentoring teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design solutions for complex business challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-region deployments and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or API Gateway implementations.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration in backend architectures is a plus.
• Experience working in enterprise-level applications and large-scale environments.
• Certification in AWS Architect is a plus.
