Systems Integration Advisor

Core Connect:Direct Expertise:

• End-to-end expertise in IBM Connect:Direct (NDM) administration across distributed platforms.
• Hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and upgrade of Connect:Direct on Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge of Process scripting, PNODE/SNODE configuration, Netmap, initialization parameters, and file transfer workflows.
• Experience in troubleshooting file transfer failures, session issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to manage secure file transfers, encryption (TLS/SSL), and certificate management.
• Knowledge of Connect:Direct Secure Plus configuration.

• Linux/Unix Administration:

  • Strong expertise in Linux/Unix (RHEL, SUSE, AIX, Solaris).
  • Good understanding of OS-level configurations, file systems, networking, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash/Korn) for automation and job handling.

  Migration & Upgrade Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience in Connect:Direct migrations (version upgrades, platform migrations, data center/cloud migrations).
  • Experience in environment setup, data migration, testing, and cutover planning.
  • Ability to perform impact analysis, rollback planning, and risk mitigation during migrations.
  • Experience in migrating from legacy systems to modern Linux/cloud environments.

  • Automation & Integration:

    • Experience in automating Connect:Direct processes using shell scripting / Python.
    • Integration experience with enterprise schedulers (Control-M, Autosys, TWS) and other file transfer tools.
    • Exposure to DevOps tools and automation frameworks is an added advantage.

    Monitoring & Support:

    • Experience in monitoring Connect:Direct environments and ensuring high availability.
    • Ability to handle production support, incident management (P1/P2), and RCA.
    • Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis.

    Security & Compliance:

    • Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols, encryption standards, and compliance requirements.
    • Experience in implementing audit controls and access management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure in critical production environments.
