Job Summary:
We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver engaging learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective, appealing, and measurable manner. The role demands expertise in learning consulting, knowledge discovery, instructional design, and development of a wide range of learning assets, from SOPs and process flows to gamified eLearning modules and ILT/VILT programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence and knowledge discovery sessions with SMEs and stakeholders during transitions.
- Develop lesson plans, SOPs, process flows, and training manuals.
- Create interactive and gamified eLearning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, etc.).
- Design and deliver courseware for ILT and VILT programs, including facilitator guides, participant handouts, and activity plans.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to capture knowledge and align training outcomes with business goals.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and adult learning principles.
- Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and final products to enhance learner experience.
- Develop supporting materials/media such as audio, video, role plays, case studies, and simulations.
- Create robust knowledge management documentation and repositories for easy knowledge transfer and access.
- Define learning objectives, assessments, and success measures, ensuring strong alignment with taxonomies like Bloom’s or Kirkpatrick’s levels.
- Maintain project documentation, version control, and course asset libraries.
Competency Requirement (with desired proficiency level):
- Proven working experience in instructional design, learning consulting, and knowledge discovery.
- Strong facilitation, delivery, and virtual platform training skills.
- Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and knowledge management practices.
- Lesson and curriculum planning expertise.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and familiarity with other eLearning authoring tools.
- Experience developing training assets such as SOPs, process flows, lesson plans, and interactive learning content.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards (SCORM, xAPI).
- Visual design and storyboarding skills (Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator desirable).
- Ability to write effective copy, scripts, and instructional text.
- Excellent collaboration skills with SMEs, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Educational Requirement:
Diploma or degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
Experience Requirement:
Min. 4 years’ experience in instructional design and training delivery
