Description
Business Development
- Prepare detailed plans to achieve defined sales targets in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Life Agency in defined geography.
- Define and cascade various targets to the identified managers over & above the respective Goal Sheets.
- To build a robust and profitable distribution network of FOS, Non-FOS, RP’s & IC’s
- To build a Roadmap to achieve/overachieve assigned topline goals for the zone through Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual targets of various parameters like Manpower, NB premium, Quality parameters like Product mix, Persistency, Distribution Hiring through processes like activation, club up gradation etc.
- To implement sales strategy and ensure productivity of the field force through robust review mechanisms
- Strategize and ensure effective implementation of digital enablers, career opportunities & product positioning
- Provide regular insights on improvising the digital tools, goal sheet, RNR, Compensation, Competition Best practices to establish the new channel
Business Review
- Periodically conduct reviews with own team to monitor progress on set objectives, track deviations and provide recommendations on course correction to ensure achievement on each parameter.
- Monitor and review the MIS to track achievement against set KRAs and parameters.
- Analyze patterns to detect potential frauds, involve risk team as required.
- To ensure compliance and business quality as per the guidelines of the organisation.
- Manage multiple business levers cross to ensure desired quality and quantity of business
Goal setting with Supervisors, FOS & distribution
- Allocate targets to the Supervisory team, basis evaluation of business potential and capabilities supported by strategies & strong governance mechanism.

Market Intelligence
- Gather market and competitor intelligence on sales and growth to assess external impact on own vertical and direct counter-action planning to achieve defined objectives.
- Know Your Market to devise strategies for deeper market penetration and improved market share by using our strength over Competition.
Support & Service
- To ensure all support/service is rendered to the customer by coordinating with HO/Regional departments and maintain fair & good relationship with the customers.
- Responsible to implement and execute company strategy align team /distribution to the overall company objective
- To monitor, govern and ensure customer complaints/grievance are addressed timely and reduced.
Distribution Built up
- Hiring and retaining talents for working in variable model in General Insurance business from preferred market segment
- Participate in selection process to identify the right talent for positions within the function
- Set objectives, conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback on regular basis for performance improvement and self-development.
- Ensure team members achieve their goal sheet and support them for career development.
- Facilitating constant rewards & recognition for team members.
- Ensure team members complete their training man days.
- Engage in RP productivity enhancement, incentive scheme download & contest drive
Skills Required
Total 15 years of total work experience. Mandatory from Insurance Industry • Minimum 10 years of Team handling experience including people manager’s role. • Require excellent communication skill, analytical in nature and team handling skills
