Python knowledge is mandatory. ● Should be available physically at the school location and be flexible to take classes based on the school's schedule. ● Should be ready to travel to the school location as & when required. ● The candidate will also possess a keen understanding of the needs of the school students and an appreciation for their everyday struggles and issues with coding who wants to provide students with an exemplary, coding education ● You will be one of the top few teachers in the country who will be supporting the coding across schools in India and will be our highest quality teachers. Responsibilities ● Act as a Coding teacher for the schools in the assigned region. Travel to the school location and conduct the classes for the assigned grades. ● Also act as trainers, for other teachers across the country, showcasing leadership skills ● Follow all disciplinary guidelines given by K12AA and School and maintain a strong working relationship with the students and staff during the teaching period. ● Manage classes carefully to ensure all students are learning in a safe, constructive environment. Focus on concept clarification of the students. ● Spend a few hours daily to prepare for upcoming lessons during the assigned period - all content will be provided. Clear all assessments before showing up in class. ● Demonstrate academic competence in coding and invest time in training to stay updated with the curriculum. ● Facilitate problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills to teach students with all skills. K12 activity academy reserves the right to modify the policies without prior notice. ● Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communication. Maintain discipline aligned with the school. ● Learner’s mindset is essential & attendance in K12AA training at regular time intervals is mandatory. Work Hours & Benefits ● During the assigned period, working hours will be 6 days a week. Weekly offs & Holidays will be decided by the assigned School/K12AA team. Teachers will be expected to follow the rules and regulations shared by the school. ● Classes will be in person, physically done, in the Computer Labs. ● K12AA will provide a curriculum and training for teachers to upskill themselves - adding a strong value. Desired Qualifications/Skills (Common) ● Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science/IT required ● Programming skillset (Python/JAVA/HTML/CSS). Python working knowledge is mandatory. ● 2+ years teaching experience preferred ● Ability to build rapport with school-age students ● Excellent communication and presentation skills ● Demonstrable record of helping students achieve high test scores preferred. ● Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet many and varied deadlines. ● Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems; and word processing, presentation. ● Familiarity with computers (PC and Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills • handle inbound queries • may need to represent the company at events
