An Accountant and Inventory Manager for a dealership handles the financial health and physical stock of the business. Key responsibilities include tracking vehicle and part inventories, managing daily billing, handling taxation (GST), and reconciling purchases and sales. Success requires strong numerical skills and strict stock control.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

• Track stock: Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicles or spare parts.
• Physical audits: Perform regular checks to match system records with actual stock.
• Floor plan financing: Track short-term loans taken to purchase dealer inventory.
• Monitor dead stock: Identify slow-moving or obsolete vehicle models and parts.

Accounting & Billing:

• Process bills: Generate invoices for vehicle sales and service work.
• Expense tracking: Record daily operational costs like utilities and payroll.
• Profit analysis: Calculate gross margins and net profits per vehicle sold. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Taxation & Compliance:

• Tax filing: Manage GST (Goods and Services Tax) and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source).
• Audit support: Prepare accurate financial records for internal and external audits.
• Compliance: Ensure dealership practices follow financial laws

**Key Skills**:

- **Proficient in MIS** tools and software (Excel, databases, reporting tools).

- Strong **customer service management** experience.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable reports.

- Experience in managing **service operations** in a similar industry (power solutions, industrial or agricultural machinery).

- Knowledge of **Ashok Leyland engines** and service processes will be an added advantage.
