Senior BI Developer

Job Title: Senior BI DeveloperLocation: Chennai/ Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Create complex DAX calculations, implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS), and optimize report performance.
• Develop robust data models aligned with best practices and business requirements.
• Work with Advanced SQL to query, transform, and optimize data for reporting and analytics.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT processes using SSIS and integrate data across multiple sources.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric components to support modern data platform initiatives.
• Design and maintain data warehouse structures, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to gather requirements, plan sprints, and deliver high-quality BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot data, performance, and integration issues across BI and data systems.
• Document technical solutions and provide knowledge-sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in BI development or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in Advanced SQL and relational database concepts.
• Deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
• DAX
• RLS and OLS
• Performance tuning & optimization
• Data visualization best practices
• Proven experience in data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Solid knowledge of SSIS for ETL processes and data integration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components and modern data architectures.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Preferred QualificationsExposure to cloud-based data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, OneLake).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
