Lead Assistant Manager

Job Description

Position Title/ Responsibility Level: Senior Business Analyst– B1

Location: Chennai

Basic Functions

  • 6-8 years of experience in delivering analytic results in client-focused roles
  • Strong executive-level client facing skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience
  • The role will involve meeting with senior client executives at Director, VP, CXO levels (for Data Management, BI, Advanced Analytics, Analytics-led Digital) with prospects/clients, understanding their pain-points, designing high-impact ‘demonstrable’ solutions, and most importantly, following up hot leads to a winning closure
  • Build senior and strategic relationships through delivery excellence (where applicable)
  • Tightly collaborate with EXL Health Products (Clinical, Pharmacy, Payments and Life Science) and Solutions teams to develop embedded analytics solutions
  • Learn from the market and inform solution/service and product design
  • Leverage hands-on understanding of multiple analytical skill sets and projects to drive support service delivery in successful execution in emerging areas e.g., cloud, NLP (select projects only) 
  • Consolidate learning from multiple projects to help develop new services and solution offerings in partnership with solution architects and product managers
  • Research emerging technology trends, reflect on market direction and create a direction for operations/service delivery to stay a step ahead of future demand trends
  • Work seamlessly with other teams including Operations, Sales, Account Teams, and Technology

Essential Functions

  • Multi-disciplinary technologist who enjoys designing, executing and selling Healthcare solutions, and being on the front-line of client communications and selling strategies
  • Deep understanding of the US Healthcare value chain and key impact drivers [Payer and/or Provider]
  • Knowledgeable and cognizant of how data management and science is used to solve organizational problems in the healthcare context
  • Hands-on experience in two (or more) areas of the data and analytics technical domains - Enterprise cloud data warehousing, integration, preparation, and visualization along with artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, data modeling, data management, and data governance
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and work with a client to create timely solutions and resolutions
  • Experience ramping up analytics programs with new clients, including integrating with work of other teams to ensure analytics approach is aligned with operations
  • Ability to engage in consultative selling

Primary Internal Interactions

  • Review with the Overall Product Manager & AVP for improvements in the product development lifecycle
  • Assessment meeting with VP & above for additional product development features.
  • Train & Mentor juniors in the team on a need basis.

Primary External Interactions

  •   Communicate with onshore stakeholder & Executive Team Members.
  •   Help the Product Management Group set the product roadmap & help in identifying future sellable    product features. 
  •   Client Interactions to better understands expectations & streamline solutions. If required should be a bridge between the client and the technology teams.

Technical Skills

Required Skills - SME in U.S Health Care Analytics,                                                    Deep Knowledge on Eligibility, Medical and Pharmacy claims data, experience in working on HL7, FHIR, EMR, HER, Population Health Reporting. 

Need to know hands-on in using JIRA tool, and preparing Requirement documentation

Good to have Knowledge on:

  • Enterprise business intelligence platform (Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience working on tools deployed in Azure Cloud
  • SQL

Working Hours

General Shift – 11 AM to 8 PM

Will be required to extend as per project release needs

 

Education Requirements

 

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from top tier colleges with good grades, preferably in a relevant field including Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent experience
