We are seeking an experienced and skilled South Indian Cuisine Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in South Indian cuisine, with a deep understanding of the ingredients and techniques used in creating traditional dishes. The South Indian Cuisine Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, managing the kitchen, and ensuring the highest level of food quality and hygiene standards. Responsibilities: Plan and prepare South Indian cuisine dishes according to traditional recipes and personal expertise Follow food safety guidelines and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality Manage the kitchen, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized Monitor food stock and place orders as needed Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring that they follow established recipes and cooking techniques Create new recipes and menu items, based on customer preferences and feedback Attend to any special dietary requests, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques in South Indian cuisine Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Cuisine Cook, with a minimum of 1 years of experience Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine and ingredients Ability to prepare and cook a wide range of South Indian dishes Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, cookware, and food processors Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high quality and hygiene standards Good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to multitask Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift heavy pots and pans Ability to bend and stoop Working Conditions: Work in a hot, busy kitchen environment Work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
