Job Description
1. On-Site Technical Support:
- Attend client site visits to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS, software applications, antivirus, and basic networking.
- Diagnose and replace faulty hardware components (RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, motherboard, etc.).
2. Networking Support:
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN, switches, Wi-Fi routers, IP addressing, and connectivity issues.
- Setup and configure network printers and shared devices.
3. Customer Coordination:
- Interact with customers to understand complaints and provide timely technical solutions.
- Provide updates on job status, pending issues, and estimated completion time.
- Maintain good customer relationships and ensure service quality.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain service reports, call logs, and installation records.
- Update service team on pending issues and escalate complex problems.
5. Field Work Management:
- Travel to multiple client locations daily as per service calls.
- Ensure tools, spare parts, and documentation are carried during field visits.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware
- Windows OS installation & troubleshooting
- Basic networking (LAN, IP, router setup)
- Printer installation and troubleshooting
- Good communication and customer handling
- Ability to work independently in the field
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE / BSc (Computer Science, IT, Electronics)
- 1–5 years of field support experience
