Desktop Support Engineer

Position: IT Support / Desktop Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware.
• Handle basic network troubleshooting, including switches, LAN, and connectivity issues.
• Install and configure OS, software applications, drivers, and updates.
• Diagnose and fix hardware faults, replace components when required.
• Support users through remote and on-site assistance.
• Ensure proper functioning of printers, network printers, and device sharing.
• Document issues, solutions, and maintain service logs.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets (systems, parts, printers, toners, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs when needed.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware.
• Experience with Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of basic networking (LAN, switches, IP configuration).
