Job Description
Patent Drafting: Transform complex technical disclosures into high-quality, legally sound patent specifications (provisional and complete).
Patent Prosecution: Handle the entire lifecycle of a patent application, including filing with the Indian Patent Office, responding to First Examination Reports (FER), and attending hearings.
Prior Art Searching: Conduct thorough prior art searches (patent and non-patent literature) to assess the patentability of new concepts and provide "freedom-to-operate" opinions.
IP Strategy: Advise leadership on the commercial viability of inventions, potential infringement risks, and the most effective way to build our patent portfolio.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D teams to identify patentable ideas during the product design phase and document inventions systematically.
Portfolio Management: Oversee maintenance fees, deadlines, and documentation to ensure compliance with the Indian Patents Act and global filing procedures (e.g., PCT).
