Envoys Electronics Private Limited JOB TITLE: TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECHNICIAN / ELECTRICIAN PLACE OF POSTING: NEW DELHI WORK RESPONSIBILITIES Technical responsibility for providing the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals and associated electronic equipment and devices is the primary function of this position. Responsibility of maintaining the Traffic Signals & Blinkers as needed in the Given sub-area and meeting the SLA levels. Work is performed under the general direction of Team Leaders and Traffic department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF WORK (May not include all duties performed) • Perform Signal preventive maintenance procedures to ensure the reliability of signal operations. • Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues (Complaints) regarding faulty signal operations. • Maintain the underground & overhead traffic signal / blinker lighting wires. • Installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical and video surveillance equipment if installed at traffic signal or blinker sites • Electrician maintenance duties as directed by company team leader or traffic department • Attend all the phone calls that comes related to signal / blinker maintenance REQUIREMENTS OF WORK • Ability to effectively troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment including 220 v AC, medium DC and low voltage. • Substantial knowledge of the principles and practices of electronics, traffic controller connection and its connections to Signal lights/ LEDs. • Considerable knowledge of the Manual mode and Traffic Control Devices installed • Ability to read wiring plans, specifications, and blueprints or as in manual accurately. • Considerable knowledge of the appropriate practices and procedures used in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems including 200v AC, medium and low voltage. • Substantial knowledge of the methods used in the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic control signals, vehicle detection devices, and traffic blinker controller. • Ability to communicate and establish effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, vendors, and the general public. • Ability to make report or the work and report the same as per the company’s procedure, in digital or in physical media (Ability to use smart phone to click photos and post in the prescribed application) • Ability to provide emergency response and repair of traffic signals and city owned streetlights. TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITY This position does not have team leader responsibilities WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to cold, heat, noise, traffic, and electrical components. Frequently works at heights up to 7 meters from an manlift hydraulic truck in or near moving traffic. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, ride and perform similar body movements. Must have the ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work and to lift and carry weight of the signal or blinker equipment’s at a time. EXPECTED WORKING HOURS The work schedule is as per the company’s working hours, Sunday through Saturday. This is a full-time, non-exempt position; normal work hours are Monday through Saturday. May be called out for after hour emergencies. May assign any other day as weekly off if Sunday is working. Employee is eligible of over time for extra working hours apart from the working hours given. Working hours could be in different shifts, including night shift. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • 12th or equivalent plus ITI or vocational training in electronics/ electricals • Three years of practical experience in electronics, with a minimum of one year of experience in traffic signal maintenance. • Experience in networking, wireless communication, and Ethernet desirable.
