Overview:

Dalmia Tea Packaging Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Factory Manager to oversee our Siliguri facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire inventory to production process, handling supply chain and logistics operations, and leading a team of staff to ensure efficient and smooth factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished products.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure regular stock takes.

Implement inventory control procedures to minimize wastage and optimize stock levels.

Production Management:

Plan, coordinate, and control the manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced on time and within budget.

Develop and implement production schedules and quality control measures.

Monitor production performance and implement improvements where necessary.

Supply Chain and Logistics:

Manage and optimize the supply chain from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of finished goods.

Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Oversee the transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.

Staff Management:

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production and warehouse staff.

Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that the production processes meet quality standards and customer requirements.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare regular reports on production, inventory, and supply chain activities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all processes and activities.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the factory budget.

Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Factory Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of inventory management, production planning, and supply chain logistics.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.

Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Knowledge of safety, quality, and health standards.

Work Environment:

Based in Siliguri, the role requires hands-on management within a factory setting.

Must be comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment.
