Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth plant operations. The role also includes coordinating with equipment suppliers or service providers for major repairs and maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Maintenance & Servicing

• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Carry out minor repairs and adjustments to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure machines operate safely and efficiently at all times.

Breakdown Management

• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Diagnose faults and determine corrective actions.
• Coordinate with machine manufacturers, suppliers, or external service providers when specialized repairs are required.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and spare parts usage.
• Complete maintenance logs, checklists, and service reports.
• Update maintenance schedules and equipment history records.
• Assist in preparing reports on machine performance and downtime.

Spare Parts & Inventory

• Monitor the availability of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies.
• Report spare part requirements and assist with procurement planning.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with applicable safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and record keeping.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ability to coordinate effectively with equipment manufacturers and external service providers.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
