Injection Mold Designer

Design and develop plastic products according to customer specifications and application requirements.

Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.

Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis and recommend design improvements.

Design injection molds, including mold layouts, gating systems, cooling systems, and ejection mechanisms.

Review product designs for manufacturability, quality, cost optimization, and cycle time reduction.

Communicate directly with customers to understand requirements, discuss design modifications, and provide technical support.

Develop new product concepts and engineering solutions based on customer needs.

Coordinate with tooling, production, quality, and project management teams throughout the product development cycle.

Support mold trials, product validation, and troubleshooting activities.

Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and company quality procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of plastic product design and injection mold design.
• Expertise in DFM, mold flow understanding, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software.
• Good understanding of plastic materials and injection molding technologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
