Job Description
- ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GENERAL MANAGER1. Strategic Planning & Leadership Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals.
- Provide strong leadership to all departments and guide teams towards performance targets.
- Set organizational objectives, KPIs, and operational plans.
- 2. Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure all departments (HR, finance, operations, sales, admin, etc.) work in coordination.
- Review and optimize processes, workflows, and policies.
- 3. Financial Management Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenses, revenues, and profitability.
- Approve major purchases and ensure financial compliance.
- 4. Human Resource Management Recruit, train, and supervise key staff and departmental heads.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ensure employee development.
- Maintain a healthy work culture and resolve staff conflicts.
- 5. Business Development Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion areas.
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Lead marketing and sales initiatives to increase revenue.
- 6. Policy & Compliance ManagementEnsure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
- Maintain compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and safety norms.
- Implement risk-management strategies.
- 7. Reporting & Decision MakingProvide regular reports to the Directors/MD about business performance.
- Make high-impact decisions regarding operations, finance, and management.
- Analyze data and market trends to support decision making.
- 8. Customer & Client Relationship Management Ensure customer satisfaction and handle major client issues.
- Monitor service quality and strengthen brand reputation.
- 9. Resource & Asset Management Oversee allocation and utilization of resources such as manpower, equipment, and finances.
- Ensure maintenance and optimal use of company assets.
- 10. Continuous Improvement Encourage innovation, technology adoption, and process improvements.
- Lead initiatives for productivity enhancement and cost reduction
