JOB SUMMARY
The individual will actively contribute to overall team investment idea generation and portfolio construction process. The role involves maintaining and updating investment systems and conducting research on specific market and asset class in financial markets with a focus on emerging markets, like India. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong analytical skill qualitatively and quantitatively, and a keen interest in global macroeconomic and market fundamental trends.
The person is expected to have up to 2 years’ experience in investment research and/or portfolio management. The role requires strong quantitative and technical knowledge in conducting back-testing of investment strategies and portfolio stress analysis. This requires deep qualitative understanding of market fundamentals and drivers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain and enhance investment models and systems.
- Conduct research on global and emerging markets.
- Assist in asset allocation, factor analysis, and investment strategy development.
- Collect, clean, and analyze financial data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and senior analysts to generate investment insights.
- Monitor macroeconomic and market trends, providing qualitative, data-driven recommendations.
- Support multi-asset portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and performance reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of research experience in investment analysis and multi-asset investment strategies, with equity, fixed income and derivatives knowledge, or a related field.
- Proficiency in R programming for investment models and data analysis. Familiarity with Power BI, Refinitiv, FactSet, or similar financial databases. Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis.
- Being an effective team player is essential as this person is expected to contribute to our team-based approach in view creation and portfolio construction; and at the same time, to be able to work independently.
- Resourceful and flexible, able to respond in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong academic credentials. Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
Location: Pune preferred.
