Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Field Sales Location: Assam (Guwahati Region)

🔹 Position OverviewT he Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributors & dealers, expanding market reach, and ensuring execution of sales strategies in the Assam (Guwahati) region. The role involves extensive field visits, market mapping, and building strong relationships with trade partners.

  • 🔹 Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Market Development Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
  • Identify new distributors, dealers, retailers, and expand secondary sales.
  • Conduct regular field visits (10–12 counters per day standard).
  • Plan and execute area-wise sales strategies to increase product penetration.
  • Ensure availability, visibility, and proper display of company products.
  • 2. Channel ManagementDevelop and manage distributor & dealer networks in assigned districts.
  • Handle distributor onboarding, order booking, and stock management.
  • Resolve distributor issues related to pricing, schemes, orders, and payments.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, launches, and market strategies.
  • 3. Field Operations Daily market visits & reporting (beat plan, tour plan, counter coverage).
  • Conduct product training & awareness for retailers and channel partners.
  • Ensure timely collections and maintain credit discipline.
  • Monitor order fulfillment & coordinate with HO (New Delhi) for dispatch.
  • 4. Reporting & CoordinationPrepare daily sales reports (DSR), weekly status reports, and monthly MIS.
  • Share market insights, customer feedback, and sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with marketing team for branding materials, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Attend monthly review meetings at Head Office (New Delhi) as required.
  • 🔹 Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2–5 years of field sales experience (Hardware/Bathroom Accessories preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the Assam (Guwahati) market and nearby districts.
  • Ability to manage distributors, dealers, and retail counters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
  • Must be comfortable with daily field travel.
  • Ability to work independently with strong target orientation.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, CRM, WhatsApp reporting, and sales documentation.
  • Work Structure Work Location: Assam (Guwahati field operations)
  • Reporting To: Sales Head / Regional Manager (Delhi HO)
  • Office Coordination: New Delhi Head Office
  • Travel: Extensive field travel within Assam region
