Electrical Technician

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems across the manufacturing plant.
• Monitor and maintain electrical panels, wiring, switches, motors, and control systems.
• Attend and rectify electrical breakdowns on production machines promptly.
• Ensure smooth functioning of single-phase and three-phase electrical supply systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules.

2. Utility Equipment Operation

Operate and monitor Diesel Generator (DG) sets during power failures.

Monitor electrical power distribution and ensure uninterrupted power supply to production areas.

Assist in transformer maintenance and repair activities.

Monitor electrical load distribution and report abnormalities.

3. Panel & Electrical System Management

Maintain LT Panels, Distribution Boards, and Motor Control Panels (MCC).

Inspect electrical connections, contactors, relays, breakers, and control circuits.

Troubleshoot faults in electrical panels and restore operations with minimum downtime.

Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety compliance.

4. Machine Support

Provide electrical support to production machines such as:

Kneader Machines

Hydraulic Presses

Moulding Machines

Cutting Machines

Finishing Machines

Compressors and Utility Equipment

Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.

5. Safety & Compliance

Follow electrical safety standards and plant safety procedures.

Use appropriate PPE while performing maintenance work.

Identify unsafe electrical conditions and take corrective actions.

Maintain proper housekeeping in electrical rooms and work areas.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain maintenance records and breakdown reports.

Record DG running hours, power consumption, and maintenance activities.

Report recurring faults and suggest corrective actions for improvement.

Required Qualification

ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Knowledge of Industrial Electrical Maintenance.

Understanding of Single Phase & Three Phase Electrical Systems.

Experience in Panel Maintenance, DG Operation, and Transformer Maintenance.

Preferred Experience

2-5 years of experience in manufacturing industries.

Experience in Footwear, Rubber, EVA, PU, Plastic, FMCG, or Engineering manufacturing plants preferred.
