AutoCAD Designer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified B.E. Mechanical Engineer with strong skills in AutoCAD 2D, preferably with experience in the sheet metal industry and knowledge of fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will support design, drafting, and documentation for manufacturing and fabrication activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD for sheet metal and fabrication components.

  Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements provided by clients or production teams.

  Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to ensure feasibility of designs.

  Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for manufacturing.

  Maintain organized records of all design files and revisions.

  Assist in product development, prototyping, and process improvements.

  Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

  B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

  Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting.

  Basic understanding of sheet metal design and fabrication techniques.

  Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and materials.

  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication symbols.

  Good communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  Prior experience in sheet metal or fabrication industry.

  Familiarity with other CAD tools (like SolidWorks or Inventor) is a plus.
