Job Description

Job Responsibilities:  Register and generate ER number to all the patients who steps into E.R without any delay  All the general process like the change of patient details, service cancellations and refunds would have the request raised on the HMIS and approved by the HOD.  Generated barcode should be handed over with the ER Number  The data base of patients should be completely and correctly taken and the details have to be filled with all mandatory fields.  Collect the advance based on the condition of the patient or as advised by ER physician  Co-ordinate with the patient care executive for further processes like  Have all the details of the patient’s priority status  The billing details of the investigations  The status of the shift, in case of the room admission  Check on the patient’s payment status as updates goes on.  Give the information on the patients bill status as and when required to the undersigned attendant and PCE.  Do all the investigation, consultations, support services and procedures billing based on the indents/ requisition raised by the ER nurse/staff.  Provide the barcode labels for the investigations billed and sent that to ER  In case of transfer of patient from ER to Room (admission) the IP number should be generated for the ER ward.  Advance payment of the new IP number to be collected based on the instructions given by the ER physicians/ consultants/PCE.
