Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, Express, and a good understanding of React for front-end integration. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, database management, and ensuring seamless data exchange between the backend and the front-end. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable and efficient systems while working closely with the front-end and other development teams to create high-quality web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code using Node.js and Express.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end services built with React.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and efficient data handling between the front-end and backend.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure data security and implement proper authentication/authorization using JWT, OAuth, or similar mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, performing root cause analysis and providing solutions.
• Work with databases like MongoDB or PostgreSQL to design schemas, create queries, and ensure data consistency.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the robustness and reliability of backend services.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks, and contribute ideas to improve our technology stack.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js and Express.
• Proficiency in working with JavaScript and ES6+ features.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks, especially React.js, to ensure smooth API integration.
• Strong understanding of database management systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth) and secure API practices.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams and contributing to collaborative development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, or similar tools for writing unit tests.
