Supervisor

Position OverviewA Transport Supervisor oversees daily transportation operations, ensuring goods, materials, or passengers are moved safely, efficiently, and on time. They manage drivers, vehicles, routes, and coordinate with warehouse and logistics staff.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage drivers, helpers, and transport staff.
• Plan, schedule, and assign routes for timely deliveries.
• Monitor vehicle movement through GPS/tracking systems.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and compliant with safety rules.
• Handle loading/unloading operations and verify documentation.
• Maintain transport records: trip sheets, fuel consumption, mileage, etc.
• Resolve route issues, delays, or customer complaints.
• Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and operations teams.
• Ensure adherence to company transport policies and government regulations.
• Conduct driver training sessions for safety and efficiency.
• Required SkillsStrong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of local routes and logistics operations.
• Ability to handle pressure and solve problems quickly.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, transport software).
