Job Description
The Main Goal of This Role
We are looking for an active, sharp, and hardworking Floor Supervisor who will stay on the factory floor, manage a team of 8–10 dispatch workers, track every material coming in or going out, and ensure our export orders are dispatched on time without any mistakes.
Your Daily Responsibilities (What you will actually do)
1. Material & Vendor Management (In/Out & Audits)
• Gate Control: Physically check and count every raw material vehicle (Coils, Sheets, etc.) or vendor item entering the gate.
• Challan Matching: Match physical goods with the delivery challans/bills. If the bill says 100 pieces, you must count and ensure there are exactly 100 pieces.
• Vendor Audits: Keep a sharp eye on material quality coming from suppliers. Check for defects or weight mismatches immediately before accepting it.
2. Inventory Control & Dispatch Chasing
• Live Tracking: Keep an active written register (and update on WhatsApp/Excel) of how much stock is in the store and how much finished accessory stock is ready.
• Chasing Targets: Coordinate closely with the owner/production team to "chase" and pull out the required items for packaging. Do not wait for the deadline—get the stock ready early.
• Scrap Control: Track and note down the sheet metal scrap (Tukra/Chura) weight daily to stop any leakage or theft.
3. Labor Management & Team Productivity
• Man-Management: Lead, guide, and handle a team of 8–10 loading/unloading helpers and packing boys.
• Daily Line-up: Ensure your team starts working sharp at 9:00 AM. Stop the "chutti" (absenteeism) and time-wasting culture on the floor.
• Zero Mistakes: Ensure goods are packed tightly for export standards, labeled correctly, and loaded safely into trucks without scratches or damage.
Who is the Ideal Candidate?
• Experience: 2 to 5 years working inside a sheet metal, auto-component, or hardware manufacturing factory in Ludhiana.
• Education: Minimum 12th Pass or Graduate. Basic math skills (counting, multiplication for weight metrics) must be rock solid.
• Tech Savvy: Must know how to use WhatsApp effortlessly to send photos of registers/bills and handle basic inputs on a smartphone or computer (Excel/Google Sheets).
• Personality: Firm, respectful, and highly active. You cannot manage 10 loaders by sitting in an AC cabin. You need to be on your feet, standing with them, and driving the pace.
• Language: Fluent Punjabi and Hindi.
