Job Description: Business Development Executive (BDE) –

Department: Sales & Business Development

Location: Madurai, Puducherry


About the Role


We are seeking a proactive and energetic Business Development Executive to drive student acquisition and revenue growth for our EdTech platform. This is a field-intensive role, focused exclusively on visiting medical colleges, generating signups, building strong student relationships, and converting leads into revenue.

Travel allowance is provided for all field visits.


Key Responsibilities


1. Field Outreach

  • Visit medical colleges regularly to promote the company’s learning products.
  • Conduct classroom announcements, kiosk setups, seminars, stall activities, and student interactions.
  • Build strong connections with CRs (class representatives), student influencers, and faculty where required.

2. Signup Generation

  • Explain app features, course benefits, and value propositions to medical students.
  • Drive high-quality student signups, app downloads, and registrations from field visits.
  • Meet daily/weekly signup and lead generation targets.

3. Follow-Up & Lead Nurturing

  • Follow up with students via calls, WhatsApp, and in-person visits.
  • Engage with interested users to move them towards paid subscriptions.
  • Maintain warm relationships that encourage referrals and repeat engagement.

4. Sales & Revenue GenerationPresent subscription plans, premium learning modules, and paid courses to potential users.

  • Convert free signups into paid customers to meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Conduct on-campus product demos and counselling sessions.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Update CRM with leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
  • Share daily/weekly field reports and feedback from medical college visits.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams for on-ground initiatives and student insights.


Key Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Strong communication and convincing skills.
  • Comfortable with daily field work and frequent medical college visits.
  • Prior experience in EdTech or B2C field sales is a plus.
  • Target-driven and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
