Wheelchair Patient Care /Care Partner

Job Overview:

As a Health Companion at MobiCrew, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of individuals with mobility challenges and providing companionship to the wheelchair bond patients. You will be responsible for assisting and providing support to them, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort during transportation or when you’re out with them.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist individuals with mobility issues, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids temporarily.

·      As a companion, safely transporting clients to and from appointments or other destinations as per the booking requested.

·      Deliver quality service and empathizing with the patients.

·      Getting positive reviews about the service provided.

Skills & Competencies:

Mobility Assistance:

·      Proficiency in safely assisting clients with mobility, including using wheelchairs, walkers, or other aids.

·      Knowledge of proper lifting and transfer techniques.

Compassion and Empathy:

·      The ability to genuinely care for and understand the emotional and physical needs of clients.

·      Empathy for the challenges and feelings of those with mobility issues

Safety Awareness:

·      Vigilance in ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during all interactions.

·      Knowledge of emergency response procedures.

Patience:

·      Patience in dealing with potential frustrations and challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:

·      Certification in GDA (General Duty Assistant), Geriatric Care, DMLT, GNM, ANM, or a related healthcare field.

·      Previous experience in handling patients' wheelchairs, such as ambulance assistants or ward boys, is a valuable asset.

·      Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a passion for assisting individuals with mobility requests.
