Manager / Associate Director – Platform

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead governance, delivery, optimization, and operational management of enterprise platforms and applications. This role requires strong capabilities in product ownership, stakeholder management, process transformation, and platform governance.

The incumbent will act as a key liaison between business, technology, operations, vendors, and leadership to ensure scalable, secure, stable, and cost-efficient platform operations.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Requirement Management

  • Own and manage the platform roadmap aligned to business priorities
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and solution documentation)
  • Translate business needs into scalable solutions with technology teams and vendors
  • Prioritize backlog, enhancements, and releases based on business value

Process Transformation & Optimization

  • Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities
  • Design and implement optimized operating models and standardized processes
  • Develop process maps, SOPs, and governance frameworks

Change Management & Governance

  • Manage change processes for platform updates and releases
  • Conduct impact assessments, risk evaluations, and dependency analysis
  • Establish governance for releases, approvals, and communications
  • Ensure audit readiness and maintain comprehensive documentation

Platform Monitoring & Operations

  • Track platform performance, adoption, and operational KPIs
  • Monitor system availability, incidents, and user experience
  • Drive cloud cost optimization and usage governance
  • Develop dashboards and MIS reports for leadership

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage budgets including resources, vendors, infrastructure, and licensing
  • Lead capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Ensure optimal utilization of financial and human resources

Data Governance & System Coordination

  • Oversee data integrity and synchronization across systems
  • Coordinate with downstream systems for dependencies, releases, and issue resolution
  • Ensure data accuracy and operational continuity

Release, Upgrade & Security Management

  • Manage release cycles, upgrades, and patching
  • Coordinate VAPT activities and remediation
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders
  • Present updates, risks, and performance metrics to leadership
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and vendor governance

Strategic Platform Ownership

  • Define long-term vision and modernization roadmap
  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvements
  • Evaluate new technologies and integrations

Team Leadership

  • Mentor teams and foster accountability and continuous improvement
  • Build scalable governance and operating frameworks

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Strong product and platform management expertise
  • Experience with enterprise applications and governance frameworks
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, cost optimization, and monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, release management, and compliance processes
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities

Preferred Experience

  • 10–15+ years in Product Management, Platform Management, Business Analysis, or Technology Operations
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale platforms
  • Background in financial services, analytics, or digital transformation preferred
