KANNAD SPEAKING CANDIDATE Job Summary Zumba instructors lead aerobics classes using the Zumba style. They take basic moves and formulas of the Zumba style and apply them to music to choreograph dance and workout routines that help students lose weight, build muscles, tone bodies, and improve or maintain cardiovascular health. Responsibilities Teach Zumba classes to students with varying skill levels and abilities. Provide music and choreograph routines to include warm ups, stretching, low to high-intensity dance/cardio moves, and cool downs. Communicate with participants and maintain good relations with staff and public. Maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants. Work independently and reliably complete tasks on time. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Applicants should have the ability to maintain licensing as a Zumba instructor. Perform and instruct beginning to intermediate levels in Zumba and deliver modifications to meet specific needs and ages. Lift, move and handle a minimum of 30 lbs. Ensure safety of participants during sessions. Requirements Knowledge of: basic anatomy & physiology; healthy lifestyle principles and proper/safe exercise including stretching, alignment, and combinations of dance/cardio movement; cuing; fitness vocabulary. Possess energy, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, creativity, problem-solving and leadership skills. High school diploma or equivalent . Accredited by NCCA Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Deliver excellent results.
